Non-Coding RNAs Used in Traditional Chinese Medicine:A Review
Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) are a class of RNA molecules that can be transcribed with little or no protein coding potential and have specific functions in diverse pathological and physiological processes.Among them, microRNAs (miRNAs),circular RNAs (circR-NAs),and long non-coding RNAs have been extensively investigated in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).The available studies in this field mainly focus on the molecular mechanism of TCM treatment, the microscopic molecular nature of TCM syndromes, and the regulatory effects of Chinese medicinal materials. This paper reviews the relevant studies, aiming to provide a basis for the inheritance, innovative devel-opment,modernization,and globalization of TCM.
