Exploration of the Diagnosis and Treatment of Bluish Wind Glaucoma by Longsha Kaihe Six Qi Acupuncture Method Combined with 24-Hour Intraocular Pressure Curve
The Longsha Kaihe Six Qi Acupuncture Method was developed under Professor Gu Zhishan's theory of Three Yin and Three Yang"Opening-Closing-Pivot,"This method was developed by integrating various pattern differentiation, including six-meridian pattern differentiation,six-pulse pattern differentiation, visceral pattern differentiation, meridian and collateral pattern differentiation,Xiangtai pattern differentiation, and Circuits-Qi pattern differentiation. The opening-closing-pivot theory summarizes the body's Three Yin and Three Yang states of ascending, descending, exiting, and entering. For bluish wind glaucoma, the pathogenesis can generally be characterized as dysfunctions in opening, closing,or pivot mechanisms.Specifically, dysfunction in opening may relate to the opening of Taiyang or Taiyin channels, closing dysfunction may be due to excess or deficiency in the Jueyin or Yangming channels, and pivot dysfunction may stem from issues in the Shaoyin or Shaoyang channels.Furthermore, professor Gu Zhishan combined the 24-hour intraocular pressure curve with the"time of resolution in Six Channels Disease"—a significant diagnostic principle in Six Channels Diagnosis—to correlate intraocular pressure peaks with Six Channels pathologies at specific time points.Guided by the theory of opening-closing-pivot and the 24-hour intraocular pressure curve, the Longsha Kaihe Six Qi Acupuncture Method utilizes time-and pattern-based diagnosis to identify the dominant pathological channel and guide the clinical treatment of bluish wind glaucoma.
