Chronic atrophic gastritis is a common digestive system disease characterized by a prolonged course,recurrent symptoms,and a high risk of malignancy.It severely impacts both the physiological and psychological health of patients,drawing significant attention.In recent years,with ongoing research,Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)has achieved remarkable results in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis due to its unique advantages.TCM formulas offer an integrated approach with multiple targets,pathways,and links,playing roles in inhibiting Helicobacter pylori infection,improving the inflammatory microenvironment,repairing gastric mucosal damage,regulating cell proliferation,and modulating gastrointestinal hormones.TCM monomers,with their relatively simple active components,clear mechanisms of action,and suitability for basic research,complement the formulas by providing new perspectives and treatment strategies for chronic atrophic gastritis.This paper summarizes the advances in the mechanisms and effects of TCM formulas and monomers in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis,aiming to provide clinical evidence for future prevention and treatment strategies.
