Research Progress on the Chemical Constituents,Quality Marker Prediction, and Pharmacological Effects of Linderae Radix
Linderae Radix, derived from the dried rhizome of Lindera angustifolia,a member of the Lauraceae family, has a long history of medicinal use, with its earliest record in the Supplement to the Materia Medica(Bencao Shiyi). The main chemical constituents of Linderae Radix include furan sesquiterpenoids and their lactones, essential oils, flavonoids, and isoquinoline alkaloids. This article collects and organizes relevant literature from the past 10 years to predict and analyze quality markers for Linderae Radix from multiple dimensions, including quality traceability, traditional medicinal theories, chemical detectability, and pharmacological actions.Based on scientific predictions, alkaloids like boldine, plant sterols,pentahydroxyflavone,dehydroiso-boldine,iso-lindera lactones, and lignan lactones have been identified as potential quality markers for Linderae Radix.Through a deep analysis of Linderae Radix's chemical constituents and quality markers, the herb is shown to possess a wide range of pharmacological effects, including anti-inflammatory and analgesic actions, anticancer, antioxidant properties, cardiovascular system regulation, prevention and treatment of diabetic nephropathy, and hepatoprotection. These findings provide a reference for understanding the current development and potential secondary development of Linderae Radix.
