Study on Functional Dyspepsia of Spleen Deficiency Syndrome with Injury to Submucosal Ganglia of Duodenum and The Intervention of Sijunzi Decoction(四君子汤)
Objective To study the manifestation of duodenal submucosal ganglion injury in functional dyspepsia(FD)with spleen deficiency syndrome and the intervention of Sijunzi Decoction(四君子汤).Methods Thirty-six SD rats were randomly divided into blank group, model group and Sijunzi Decoction low, medium and high dose groups and western medicine group, six rats in each group.Except the blank group, all the other groups were treated with iodoacetamide+station platform method+fast-ing on alternate days to establish the FD rat model with spleen deficiency and Qi stagnation. Each dose group was given the corre-sponding dose of Sijunzi Decoction by gavage. The western medicine group was given mosapride by gavage, and the blank group and the model group were given the equal amount of saline by gavage. The changes in body weight before and after modelling as well as before and after treatment, the gastric emptying rate and the structural morphology and number of ganglion cells in the sub-mucosa of the duodenum were compared among the six groups. Results After modelling, the weight gain of the rats in the other 5 groups was less than that of the rats in the blank group(all P<0.05).After drug treatment, the weight gain of the rats in the middle and high dose groups of Sijunzi Decoction and the western medicine group was greater than that of the model group(all P<0.05).The gastric emptying rate of the model group was lower than that of the blank group, while the gastric emptying rate of the rats in all dose groups of Sijunzi Decoction and the western medicine group were higher than that of the model group(all P<0.05).The number of submucosal neuronal cells in the duodenum of the model group was lower than that of the blank group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The number of submucosal neuronal cells in the duodenum of the middle and high dose groups of Sijunzi Decoction and the western medicine group were higher than that of the model group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Injury to the submucosal ganglion of the duodenum is an important manifestation of FD with spleen deficiency syndrome.Sijunzi Decoction can repair the damage to the submucosal ganglia of the duodenum, promote gastric emptying and weight gain in FD rats with spleen deficiency syndrome.Sijunzi Decoction has a defi-nite therapeutic effect on FD with spleen deficiency and Qi stagnation syndrome, and its mechanism may be related to the submu-cosal ganglia of the duodenum.
