Clinical Retrospective Study on Effect of Pressing Acupuncture in Treatment of Patients with Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of pressing acupuncture combined with western medicine in the treatment of chronic pelvic pain(CPP).Methods A total of 120 CPP patients admitted to the gynecology department of Affiliated Hospital of Binzhou Medical College from March 2017 to May 2022 were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the ob-servation group,60 cases in each. The control group was treated with ibuprofen sustained-release capsules orally and the obser-vation group was treated with pressing acupuncture and moxibustion on the basis of the control group, taking Sanyinjiao(SP6),Zigong(EX-CA1),Zusanli(ST36)and other acupoints for 4 weeks of continuous treatment. The Oxford grading of pelvic floor muscle strength was used to compare the pelvic floor muscle strength before and after treatment between the two groups.Visual analogue scale(VAS)and McCormack scale were used to evaluate subjective and objective pain respectively. The clinical total effective rate, quality of life scale(EHP-30)score and pelvic floor function after treatment were compared.Results(1)Pelvic floor muscle strength:The Oxford grading composition of pelvic floor muscle strength in CPP patients in the observation group after treatment was significantly better than that in the control group(46.67%,28/60)and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)VAS score and McCormack scale score:The VAS score and McCormack scale score of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment.Compared with those of the control group, the VAS score and McCormack scale score of the observation group were decreased after treatment and the difference was statistically significant(all P<0.05).(3)Clinical total effective rate:The clinical total effective rate of CPP patients in the observation group was 85.00%(51/60),which was significantly higher than that in the control group(63.33%,38/60)(P<0.05).(4)EHP-30 questionnaire score:The pain, control powerlessness, emotional health score and total score in the EHP-30 questionnaire of CPP patients in the observa-tion group were lower than those in the control group and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).(5)Pelvic floor function:The types of pelvic floor dysfunction in the two groups after treatment included bladder prolapse, vaginal prolapse, pelvic floor hernia, sexual dysfunction and urinary incontinence. The total incidence of pelvic floor dysfunction in the control group was 40.00%(24/60)and that of the observation group was 36.67%(22/60)and the difference was not statistically sig-nificant(P>0.05).Conclusions Pressing acupuncture combined with western medicine in the treatment of CPP can improve pel-vic floor muscle strength, relieve the pain symptoms and improve the clinical efficacy and quality of life, with good safety. This study can provide some reference for clinical treatment of CPP.
