Research Progress on Caowu(Aconitum kusnezoffii Reichb)and Predictive Analysis on Quality Markers
Caowu(Aconitum kusnezoffii Reichb)is a kind of plant medicine with high medicinal value,and it has a long his-tory of drug use in the fields of traditional Chinese medicine and Mongolian medicine.However,the clinical application is limited due to the close proximity between its toxic dose and therapeutic dose,with the narrow treatment window,so it is very necessary to establish a comprehensive quality standard evaluation system for Caowu(Aconitum kusnezoffii Reichb).This paper reviewed the research status of Caowu(Aconitum kusnezoffii Reichb)from the aspects of base source,chemical constituents and pharmacologi-cal effects.Based on the theory of Q-marker of traditional Chinese medicine,in view of the drug characteristics of active toxicity of Caowu(Aconitum kusnezoffii Reichb),combined with its chemical composition and modern pharmacological toxicological activi-ty studies.It is speculated that aconitine diterpenoid alkaloids and volatile oil can be used as Q-marker for the quality evalua-tion of Caowu(Aconitum kusnezoffii Reichb).
