Research Progress on Animal Models and Disease Phenotypes of Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is a disease characterized by the accumulation of fat in liver cells. With the increasing prevalence,NAFLD has become a health problem for all human beings. In the decades-long research history of NAFLD,animal models have played an irreplaceable role in the research design of pathogenesis, pathophysiology, treatment and prevention. There are many kinds of animal models of NAFLD,which are summarized according to the species and strains of ani-mals,modeling time and methods, and modeling judgment indicators.
