Research Progress on Active Ingredients and Mechanism of Anti-tumor TCM with Both Edible and Medicinal Uses
In recent years,30 kinds of anti-tumor traditional Chinese medicines have been reported one after another,which are widely distributed,mainly in Rosaceae and Leguminosae,and also inRhamnaceae,Umbelliferae,Compositae and other plants.There are also a wide range of effective components in traditional Chinese medicine,including terpenoids,flavonoids,polysaccha-rides,extracts and other chemical components.Therefore,it is found that pentacyclic triterpenoids and tetracyclic triterpenoids are the main terpenoids,followed by monoterpenoids,sesquiterpenes and iridoid glycosides.Flavonoids mainly contain flavonoids and isoflavones,followed by flavonols and dihydroflavonoids.In addition,it is found that a large number of polysaccharides and ex-tracts exist in traditional Chinese medicine for both food and medicine.These chemical components have different pharmacologi-cal effects and are applied to different types of tumor diseases,and their anti-tumor mechanisms are also different.More and more studies have also found that these dual-purpose Chinese medicines for food and medicine mainly play an anti-tumor role by inhibiting tumor cell proliferation,inducing tumor cell apoptosis and enhancing immune regulation.In this paper,the effective components and mechanism of anti-tumor traditional Chinese medicine for both food and medicine are systematically reviewed,which provides a theoretical basis for the research and product development of new anti-tumor traditional Chinese medicine for both food and medicine.
