Effect of Dange Decoction(丹葛汤)and Warm Acupuncture on Cervical Vertigo and Its Influence on Vertebrobasilar Artery Blood Flow Velocity
Objective To observe the curative effect of modified Dange Decoct ion(丹葛汤)combined with warm acupuncture in the treatment of cervical vertigo(CV)and its effect on vertebrobasilar blood flow velocity. Methods A total of 138 CV patients admitted to the hospital from January 2019 to January 2022 were randomly divided into a control group(treated with warm acu-puncture and moxibustion)and an observation group(treated with modified Dange Decoction on the basis of the control group),69 cases in each group. The therapeutic effect was evaluated after 2 weeks of continuous treatment. The TCM clinical symptom scores, clinical efficacy,vertebral-basilar artery blood flow velocity, hemorheological indexes and levels of endothelin(ET-1)and calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP)in plasma were compared between the two groups. The adverse reactions during treatment were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in the main symptoms, secondary symptoms or total scores between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the main symptoms, secondary symptoms and total scores were decreased(P<0.05),and the main symptoms, secondary symptoms and total scores in the obser-vation group were lower than those in the control group after treatment(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.65%(66/69),higher than that of the control group(85.51%,59/69)(P<0.05).The blood flow velocities of the left vertebral artery, right vertebral artery and basilar artery in the observation group were higher than those in the control group af-ter 1 and 2 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).The whole blood viscosity and erythrocyte aggregation index in the observation group after 2 weeks of treatment were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The plasma ET-1 levels of the observation group after 1 and 2 weeks of treatment were higher than those of the low control group(P<0.05),and the plasma CGRP level was higher than that of the low control group(P<0.05).There were no obvious adverse reactions in the two groups of patients during treatment. Conclusion Modified Dange Decoction combined with warm acupuncture in the treatment of CV can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms, improve the clinical efficacy, the vertebral-basilar artery blood flow velocity and the hemorheologi-cal indexes, and balance the levels of ET-1 and CGRP in plasma, and it is safe and reliable.
