Effect of Sanao Decoction(三拗汤)Combined with Sanzi Yangqin Decoction(三子养亲汤)on TCM Syndrome Score,Immune Function and Inflammatory Factor Levels in Children with Allergic Cough
Objective To explore the effects of San'ao Decoction(三拗汤)combined with Sanzi Yangqin Decoction(三子养亲汤)on TCM syndrome score,immune function and inflammatory factor level of children with allergic cough.Methods A total of 91 children diagnosed as allergic cough due to wind-heat invading lung syndrome from January 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the research subjects,and they were equally divided into an observation group(45 cases)and a control group(46 cases)ac-cording to the random number method.The children in the control group were treated with montelukast sodium chewable tablets,while the observation group was additionally treated with San'ao Decoction combined with Sanzi Yangqin Decoction.The differ-ences in TCM syndrome scores and clinical efficacy between the two groups were compared before treatment,1 and 2 weeks after treatment.Venous blood was drawn before treatment and 2 weeks after treatment to detect the immune cell functions(CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+)by flow cytometry and the levels of Interleukin-33(IL-33),Interleukin-8(IL-8)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results The total effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).With the prolongation of treatment time,the main symptoms,secondary symptoms and the total score in the two groups were gradually decreased(P＜0.05).The main symptoms,secondary symptoms and total scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group 1 and 2 weeks after treatment(P＜0.05).With the prolongation of treatment time,the values of CD4+and CD4+/CD8+of children in the two groups gradually in-creased(P＜0.05),and the value of CD8+gradually decreased(P＜0.05).The values of CD4+and CD4+/CD8+of the obser-vation group were higher than those in the control group,while the value of CD8+was lower than that in the control group 1 and 2 weeks after treatment(P＜0.05).With the prolongation of treatment time,the levels of IL-33,IL-8 and TNF-α were gradu-ally decreased in two groups(P＜0.05).The levels of IL-33,IL-8 and TNF-α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group 1 week and 2 weeks after treatment(P＜0.05).Conclusion Based on the western medicine treatment,the combined use of San'ao Decoction and Sanzi Yangqin Decoction had better clinical efficacy in the treatment of pediatric aller-gic cough,in that it could reduce the TCM syndrome scores earlier and more significantly,improve the immune function of chil-dren,reduce the levels of body inflammatory factors and promote the recovery of children.
