A Retrospective Study on Bladder Function,Urodynamics and Pelvic Floor Function of Female Stress Urinary Incontinence Treated with Acupuncture Combined with Pelvic Floor Muscle Rehabilitation Training
Objective To observe the effects of acupuncture combined with pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation training on blad-der function, urodynamics and pelvic floor function in female patients with stress urinary incontinence. Methods A total of 150 fe-male patients with mild to moderate SUI who received rehabilitation treatment in the outpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University from June 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the study objects. The above pa-tients were randomly divided into control group and combination group by random number table method, with 75 cases in each group. The ptients in the control group were given routine pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation training. The combination group was treated with acupuncture and moxibustion on the basis of the control group for 2 consecutive courses of intervention. The changes of bladder function, urodynamic indexes, pelvic floor function and quality of life were observed and compared between the two groups before and after intervention. Results The total effective rate of the control group was 80.00%,and that of the combination group was 92.00%.Compared with that of the control group, the total effective rate of the combination group was significantly in-creased(P<0.05).After 2 courses of intervention, compared with those of the control group, the urinary incontinence volume of 1 h pad test and the frequency of 24 h urinary incontinence in the combination group were significantly reduced, with statistical significance(P<0.01).Before intervention, there was no significant difference in the levels of abdominal leak point pressure(ALPP),maximum urethral closure pressure(MUCP),maximum flow rate(Qmax)or other urodynamic indexes between the two groups. After 2 courses of intervention, compared with the control group, the above indexes in the combination group were signifi-cantly increased(P<0.01).The levels of vaginal squeezing pressure(VSP)and resting pressure(VRP)in the combination group were significantly higher than those in the control group. The number of patients with pelvic floor muscle strength at grade 0-2 decreased significantly, while the number of patients with pelvic floor muscle strength at grade 5 increased significantly, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01,P<0.05).After treatment, the movement degree of bladder neck and rota-tion angle of urethra in the combination group were significantly decreased compared with those of the control group(P<0.01).Before intervention, incontinence questionnaire short form(ICIQ-SF)score and Sexual Life Quality Questionnaire-31(PISQ-31)score were not significantly different between the two groups. After 2 courses of intervention, compared with those of the con-trol group,ICIQ-SF score level of the combination group was significantly decreased, while PISQ-31 score level was significant-ly increased by 40(P<0.01).Conclusions Acupuncture combined with pelvic floor muscle training can improve the therapeutic effect of female SUI,relieve the symptoms of urinary incontinence, effectively adjust bladder function and improve the urodynamic indexes, the pelvic floor function and the quality of life of patients. The clinical efficacy is accurate and suitable for promotion.
