Research Progress on Treatment of Tumors with Traditional Chinese Medicine Shuizhi(Leech)and Its Compound Based on Theory of Breaking Blood and Removing Stasis
Tumor is a relatively difficult disease to treat in clinical practice,and the resistance of chemotherapy drugs and side effects during the treatment process increase the difficulty of treatment.As a natural drug,traditional Chinese medicine has the advantages of fewer adverse reactions and low genetic toxicity.It can fundamentally regulate the body's function while treating tumor diseases.Through literature re view,the author has found that blood-breaking and blood stasis-removing drugs,such as Sanleng(Sparganii Rhizoma),Ezhu(Curcumae Rhizoma),Shuizhi(leech)and Banmao(Mylabris),can be used to treat various diseases and have a definite therapeutic effect on tumors.Based on this,the author started from the theory of breaking blood and removing blood stasis,analyzed the etiology and pathogenesis of tumors in traditional Chinese medicine as well as the principles for treating blood stasis by breaking blood,and summarized some of the mechanisms of action of leeches in the clinical treatment of tumors,aiming to provide reference and research directions for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of this disease.
