Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Yiqi Gubiao Jiedu Mixture(益气固表解毒合剂)in the prevention of SARS-CoV-2 infection based on a multicenter prospective real-world study.Methods From December 10,2022 to February 28,2023,472 patients who purchased Yiqi Gubiao Jiedu Mixture in seven designated hospitals in Liaoning Province and 124 fami-ly members of their spouses who did not take the medicine but had clinical symptoms related to SARS-CoV-2 infection were enrolled.A prospective cohort study was conducted to observe the proportion of respondents who had clinical symptoms related to SARS-CoV-2 infection after taking Yiqi Gubiao Jiedu Mixture and the incidence of each symptom.The incidence,symptom scores and duration of fever,cough,fatigue and sore throat were compared between the medication group and the non-medication group.Results The average age of the respondents who took Yiqi Gubiao Jiedu Mixture was(55.76±17.91)years old,51.91％of the respondents were retired,55.30％of the respondents had clinical symptoms related to cSARS-CoV-2 infection after tak-ing Yiqi Gubiao Jiedu Mixture,and the incidence of fever,fatigue,and sore throat in the medication group was lower than that in the non-medication group(P＜0.05).The symptom scores of fever,cough,fatigue and sore throat were significantly decreased,and the duration of symptoms was shortened(P＜0.05).Conclusions Yiqi Gubiao Jiedu Mixture can effectively prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection and reduce the symptoms of fever,cough,fatigue and sore throat after SARS-CoV-2 infection.
