Discussion on Dyslipidemia Combined with Cerbral Apoplexy on Theory of Collateral Disease
Dyslipidemia can increase the incidence rate of apoplexy.In traditional Chinese medicine,dyslipidemia and apo-plexy belong to the categories of"fat person"and"stroke",respectively.The main pathogenesis of both is dyslipidemia of fat,accumulation of phlegm and blood stasis,and other excess pathogenic factors that block collaterals,leading to stroke.The theory of collateral disease is originated from Huangdi Neijing and is one of the important theories for the diagnosis and treatment of dis-eases based on syndrome differentiation in traditional Chinese medicine.Based on this theory,the author believes that the course of dyslipidemia combined with stroke can be divided into three stages:deficiency of collaterals,invasion of wind and phlegm,blockage of collaterals,closure of phlegm,fire and blood stasis,deficiency and damage of collaterals and rampant toxin.The corre-sponding treatment principles are respectively reinforcing lung,spleen and kidney,supplementing Qi and clearing collaterals,pur-ging fire and resolving phlegm,removing blood stasis and clearing collaterals,detoxifying and clearing collaterals,awakening the mind and consolidating the body.This article focused on the overview of collateral disease theory,and analyzed the pathogenesis and treatment of dyslipidemia combined with stroke from the perspective of collateral disease theory,so as to provide the theoreti-cal reference for clinical improvement of dyslipidemia and treatment of stroke.
