The postoperative management of kidney transplantation has achieved phased development,but the long-term sur-vival rate of transplant patients/kidneys has not been effectively extended,which is closely related to many complications after kidney transplantation.Acute and chronic renal injury after renal transplantation,including ischemia reperfusion injury,rejection,albuminuria and immunosuppressive toxicity,significantly affects long-term survival and prognosis of patients.The traditional Chinese herbal medicine Leigongteng(Tripterygium wilfordii)has the effects of dispelling wind and dampness,relieving pain,pro-moting blood circulation and detumorizing.Modern pharmacological studies have confirmed that it has anti-inflammatory,immu-nosuppressive and anti-tumor activities.At present,many scholars have applied Leigongteng(Tripterygium wilfordii)preparation and its extract in the management program after kidney transplantation.Although the initial results have been achieved,there are still some problems to be solved in the practical application.Based on the medication regimen of Leigongteng(Tripterygium wil-fordii)preparation and its extracts in the field of kidney transplantation,this paper summarized their functions,mechanisms and adverse reactions,and further clarified the safety,effectiveness and application prospect of Leigongteng(Tripterygium wilfordii)preparation and its extracts in the field of kidney transplantation,providing reference for improving the long-term survival rate of transplant patients/kidneys.
