Jiegeng(Platycodon grandiflorum)is a traditional Chinese drug with dual use of medicine and food.It specially enters the lung meridian.It has the effects of dispersing lung and promoting the pharynx as well as preventing phlegm and expel-ling pus.It is known as the"water transportation agent".As a traditional Chinese medicine,its processing has a long history and many processing methods.In the current standard,the processing method description and inspection item requirements of Jiegeng(Platycodon grandiflorum)and its processed products are not unified.The processing methods of Jiegeng(Platycodon grandiflo-rum)and its processed products are compared and analyzed from ancient literature and modern laws and regulations.It summa-rized and compared the relevant indexes of the current pharmacopoeia and the quality standards of provincial processing codes.With the method of bibliometrics,the modern research on quality control of Jiegeng(Platycodon grandiflorum)was visualized and analyzed.It is expected to discuss the rationality and scientificity of the current quality standard of Jiegeng(Platycodon grandiflo-rum)and provide reference for the quality standard research of its processed products.
