Research Progress on Extraction and Separation,Chemical Structure and Biological Activity of Polysaccharides from Shanzhuyu(Corni Fructus)
Shanzhuyu(Corni Fructus)was first published in Shennong''s Classic of Materia Medica,which has a long history of application in China,and has the effect of nourishing liver and kidney,astringing essence and solidifying.Shanzhuyu(Corni Fruc-tus)polysaccharide is one of the main active ingredients and has been consulted in domestic and foreign literature for nearly two decades.The commonly used extraction,separation and purification methods of Shanzhuyu(Corni Fructus)polysaccharides were reviewed,and the research status of chemical structure characteristics and biological activities of Shanzhuyu(Corni Fructus)poly-saccharides was summarized.The results showed that the extraction and separation of Shanzhuyu(Corni Fructus)polysaccharides mostly used the classical water extraction alcohol precipitation method,ultrasonic extraction method,microwave-assisted extrac-tion method,compound enzymatic hydrolysis method and dilute alkali extraction method.The extraction rate of polysaccharides ranged from 5.29%to 18.92%.The separation and purification of uniform polysaccharide were obtained by DEAE-cellulose column,Sephadex and Sephacryl and other separation packs.A total of 9 polysaccharides have been identified with the molecular weight,monosaccharide composition and proportion,glycosidic bond type and ligation order of uniform polysaccharides.Shanzhuyu(Corni Fructus)polysaccharides have a variety of biological activities such as hypoglycemia,anti-tumor,antioxidant,immunomodulatory and liver protection,and have become a hotspot in basic research and product development of Shanzhuyu(Cor-ni Fructus)in recent years.In summary,the comprehensive analysis of the structure of Shanzhuyu(Corni Fructus)polysaccha-rides and the discussion of the structure-activity relationship and mechanism of Shanzhuyu(Corni Fructus)polysaccharides based on the intestinal microecology may be the main research direction in the future.
