Chronic pharyngitis is a common disease in otorhinolaryngology.Its clinical incidence rate is high,and its etiology is complex.Chronic infectious factors are one of the main causes of chronic pharyngitis.This article is based on the theory that"blood stasis should be treated by bloodletting method"in Yellow Emperors Internal Classic.It is believed that the main patho-genesis of chronic pharyngitis is the stagnation of pathogenic factors in the throat,Qi stagnation and phlegm obstruction,blood sta-sis obstructing the collaterals and blood stasis damaging the collaterals.Among them,"pathogenic factors,Qi stagnation,phlegm obstruction and blood stasis"are the pathological basis of"blood stasis",and acupuncture is the treatment method of"bloodlet-ting".By acupuncture of lymphatic follicles,convoluted superficial blood vessels,and lateral pharyngeal cords in the posterior pharyngeal wall,a small amount of local bleeding is caused.It can achieve the goal of"dispelling pathogenic factors,clearing Yang,resolving stagnation and dispersing blood stasis",improve pharyngeal symptoms,and has the characteristics of obvious short-term efficacy,stable long-term efficacy,simple operation and high safety.Its mechanism of action may be related to im-proving local microcirculation in the pharynx,promoting inflammation absorption,regulating immune function and pharyngeal neu-rophysiology through acupuncture and bleeding.It explored the mechanism of pharyngeal stimulation in order to provide new ideas and methods for clinical treatment of chronic pharyngitis.
