Comparison and Thinking of Bench Scale Test and Pilot Test of Cutting Technology——Taking Huangqin(Scutellariae Radix)Pieces As An Example
Objective In order to provide a reference for the standardization of production and processing of Huangqin(Scutel-lariae Radix)pieces, the laboratory bench scale test and herbal pieces factory pilot test were used to cut Huangqin(Scutellariae Radix)and two tests were compared. Methods The contents of alcohol soluble extract and baicalin in Huangqin(Scutellariae Ra-dix)and its decoction pieces were determined by the extraction and content determination method of Huangqin(Scutellariae Ra-dix)in Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2020).To investigate the HPLC fingerprint of Huangqin(Scutellariae Radix)and its decoction pieces by using the fingerprint method of Huangqin(Scutellariae Radix)by the laboratory in the early stage. The yield of pieces, appearance, content of extract and baicalin, fingerprint chromatogram and component transfer rate of Huangqin(Scutellariae Ra-dix)pieces in bench scale test and pilot test were compared. Results The Huangqin(Scutellariae Radix)pieces obtained in the bench scale test and pilot test were slices, with similar shape, the outer skin was yellow-brown,with radial texture, and the con-tents of extract and baicalin met the requirements of pharmacopoeia. The yield of slices, extract and baicalin transfer rate of the bench scale process were slightly higher than those of the pilot process. Conclusion The qualities of Huangqin(Scutellariae Ra-dix)pieces obtained by the bench scale test and pilot test are relatively stable, and the cutting process parameters are set reasona-bly.In the cutting process of Huangqin(Scutellariae Radix),environmental temperature and humidity, the washing and steaming pressure are key factors. The combination of bench scale test and pilot test can reduce the risk of industrialized production of de-coction pieces and provide a reference for the standardization of production and processing of Huangqin(Scutellariae Radix).
