Translation Strategy of Cultural-loaded Words in TCM Classics from Perspective of Medio-translatology
Due to the long history of traditional Chinese medicine classics,there are often a large number of cultural corre-sponding missing words in the translation process.Therefore,the translation of cultural loaded words in traditional Chinese medi-cine classics has become an important and difficult step.In order to promote the spread of traditional Chinese medicine culture better,more widely,and more effectively,translators must take corresponding measures based on the actual situation.This article is based on the theory of translatology and starts from the definition of cultural loaded words.From a cultural perspective,it iden-tifies and interprets cultural loaded words in traditional Chinese medicine classics such as Huangdi Neijing,Treatise on Febrile Diseases and Miscellaneous Diseases and Synopsis of the Golden Chamber.It proposes that traditional Chinese medicine cultural loaded words need to proficiently use transformation methods such as language dimension transformation,cultural dimension trans-formation and communication dimension transformation in the translation process,and summarizes the methods of literal transla-tion,combination of transliteration/transliteration and annotation,provincial translation,or free translation for cultural loaded words in traditional Chinese medicine classics.The purpose is to provide a new translation perspective and broaden research thinking for the translation of cultural loaded words in traditional Chinese medicine classics,while defining and proposing transla-tion strategies.The aim is to provide new insights and entry points for interpreting cultural differences and exploring more reason-able and effective cultural exchange paths and methods and to provide valuable references for promoting the research on the Eng-lish translation of traditional Chinese medicine culture loaded words and accelerating the process of traditional Chinese medicine culture external dissemination.
