Clinical Application and Experimental Research Progress of Dahuang Zhechong Pill(大黄?虫丸)
Dahuang Zhechong Pill(大黄䗪虫丸)is an effective prescription of ZHANG Zhongjing for treating asthenia and dried blood.The prescription is composed of 8 kinds of Chinese herbs,such as Kuxingren(Armeniacae Semen Amarum),Huan-gqin(Scutellariae Radix),Dihuang(Rehmanniae Radix)and Baishao(Paeoniae Radix Alba)based on Didang Decoction(抵挡汤).It has the function of promoting blood circulation,breaking blood stasis,soothing the middle and tonifying deficiency,that is,taking the drug with strong efficacy with pills to slow down the attack on blood stasis.When blood stasis is eliminated,new blood will be generated,ultimately achieving the goal of supporting the right Qi without leaving blood stasis,and removing blood stasis without damaging the right Qi.This formula is suitable for the late stage of deficiency and fatigue,as it can treat the defi-ciency syndrome due to blood stasis due.Therefore,it has a dual effect of nourishing the body and eliminating evil spirits.In the aspect of clinical application,there are few reports on the treatment of related diseases with Dahuang Zhechong Pill alone,and most of them are added or subtracted,or combined with other prescriptions or Western medicine,treating liver,heart,lung,kid-ney,gynecology,andrology and other diseases.In the experimental research,Dahuang Zhechong Pill has the effects of anti-in-flammation,anti-fibrosis,improving blood sugar,improving blood lipid,improving blood vessel function,improving microcircula-tion and so on.Therefore,its material basis research is relatively weak.In this paper,the clinical application and experimental research of Dahuang Zhuchong Pill in recent ten years were reviewed and summarized,which provided reference for further re-search and application of Dahuang Zhuchong Pill.
