Effect of Modified Huanglian Jiedu Decoction(加味黄连解毒汤)on Tumor Remission Rate,Recent Recurrence Rate and Survival Quality of Patients Undergoing Early Mastectomy for Breast Cancer
Objective To investigate the effect of Modified Huanglian Jiedu Decoction(加味黄连解毒汤)on tumor response rate,short-term recurrence rate and quality of life in patients undergoing early breast cancer resection.Methods From March 2020 to June 2022,86 patients with early breast cancer who underwent resection in the department of traditional Chinese medicine were selected,including 42 patients in the control group treated with conventional western medicine,and 44 patients in the obser-vation group treated with Modified Huanglian Jiedu Decoction on the basis of the control group.The tumor response rate,1-month recurrence rate,quality of life,fatigue and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The TCM syn-drome score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P＜0.05).The tumor response rate in the observa-tion group(88.64％)was higher than that(71.43％)in the control group(P＜0.05).After 1-month follow-up,the recur-rence rate in the observation group(4.55％)was lower than that(19.05％)in the control group(P＜0.05).The scores of do-mestic activities,family relationship,psychological status,work and economic situation in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the Piper Fatigue Self-Rating Scale in the observation group and the con-trol group decreased,and the decrease range in the observation group was greater than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Most of the adverse reactions in the two groups were gastrointestinal reactions,with the highest incidence rate of grade I-Ⅱ.There was no significant difference between the observation group(18.18％,8/44)and the control group(14.29％,6/42)(P＞0.05).Conclusion Modified Huanglian Jiedu Decoction can effectively improve the clinical symptoms,reduce the short-term recurrence rate,improve the tumor remission effect and quality of life in patients with early breast cancer resection,with no new adverse reac-tions.
