Exploring Post-Stroke Cognitive Function and The Application of Huanglian(Coptidis Rhizoma)Based on Theory of"Toxin Damaging Brain Collaterals"
Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)believes that post-stroke cognitive function(PSCI)is located in the brain,and"toxin damaging brain collaterals"is the etiology and pathogenesis.This article explained the correlation between"toxin"theory and PSCI from the perspective of"toxin damage brain collaterals".Starting from the perspective of"detoxifying and un-blocking the meridians",this study explored the pathogenesis of PSCI caused by"toxin evil"in relation to"heat toxin","sugar toxin","lipid toxin"and"blood stasis toxin",gradually verifying that the theory of"toxin damaging brain collaterals"is the eti-ology and pathogenesis of PSCI and providing ideas for the traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment of PSCI.It re-viewed the literature records of Huanglian(Coptidis Rhizoma)treating PSCI,explored the theoretical connotation,enriched the clinical application of Huanglian(Coptidis Rhizoma),improved the understanding of Chinese drugs for detoxifying to improve PS-CI.
