Clinical Efficacy of Yupingfeng Powder(玉屏风散)with Siwu Decoction(四物汤)in Treatment of Vitiligo(Liver and Kidney Deficiency Type)
Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of Yupingfeng Powder(玉屏风散)with Siwu Decoction(四物汤)in the treatment of vitiligo(liver and kidney deficiency type).Methods A total of 212 patients with vitiligo of liver and kidney deficiency type admitted to the Department of Dermatology of Xiangyang Center Hospital from February 2022 to February 2024 were selected as the study subjects,and were divided into two groups by randomized numerical table method:106 cases of the control group were treated with conventional anti-vitiligo treatment,and 106 cases of the observation group were treated with Yupingfeng Powder and Sizi Decoction based on the above mentioned basis,and the treatment effects of the two groups were compared.It compared the effect of the two groups,traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores,lesion area,vitiligo severity scoring index(VASI)and changes in inflammatory factors and melanocyte stimulating hormone.Results The total effective rate in the observation group was 95.28％,which was much higher than that(84.91％)in the control group,and the difference between the groups was significant(P＜0.05).The traditional Chinese medicine symptom score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group af-ter treatment,and the area of the skin lesion area and the VASI score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group at 1,2 and 3 months after treatment(P＜0.05).The level of interleukin-17(IL-17)of the observation group was lower than that of the control group after treatment.The level of intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1)was lower than that of the control group,and the level of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone(α-MSH)was higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The treatment of Yupingfeng Powder with Siwu Decoction to vitiligo of liver and kidney deficiency type has clear effect,which can effectively alleviate the symptoms of the patients,reduce the area of white patches,inhibit the release of inflammatory mediators and melanocyte-stimulating hormones,and achieve the purpose of maintaining the health of the skin,which is of high application value.
