Discussion on Application of Theory of"One Yin As The Sole Envoy"in Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis
Ulcerative colitis(UC)is a common digestive disease,clinically characterized by abdominal pain,pus and blood in the stool and tenesmus.In addition to skin,mucous membrane,joints and other extraintestinal lesions in the development of UC,it can even lead to multi-organ failure in the late stage,so its clinical treatment and regression have attracted the attention of modern medical practitioners.In this paper,it is believes that the pathogenesis of UC and its progression is Yin and Yang of liver are not in harmony with each other and Ying and Wei are not in harmony with each other,and it explored the theoretical connota-tion of"one Yin is the sole envoy"of Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine and proposed that one Yin can rise to nourish Yangming and reach up to lung to transform Yin and guide Yang,which are the envoys for the body's Yin and Yang to be in har-mony and for Ying and Wei to transform.According to the characteristics of liver body Yin and function Yang,the disease will be divided into two phases:wind evil and wind deficiency.For those with wind evil,the treatment of Yin is the main focus,while for those with wind deficiency,the promotion of Yang is the main focus.By treating liver,the treatment can promote the healing of Yin in the lower part,harmonize Yang in the upper part,and promote the development of Ying and Wei in the middle to solve Yin and Yang disharmony in the course of the disease,and the evils of the intestines and stomach are also solved by the solution.Therefore,this is a special discussion,in order to provide new ideas and methods for the identification and treatment of UC in tra-ditional Chinese medicine.
