With the rapid change of social lifestyle,the interaction between emotional abnormality and malignant tumor has become increasingly prominent.A large number of studies have shown that emotional abnormality,with depression as the main change,can affect the occurrence,development,and metastasis of tumor through multiple pathways.The mechanism of"depression promoting cancer"has attracted more and more attention.Nowadays there is an urgent need to discover innovative causal relationship and mechanism between depression and tumor,and to develop effective treatment.Stagnation of liver qi is the initiating factor of emotional disease,and deficiency of healthy qi is the intrinsic basis of tumor occurrence.The invasion of cancer toxin is an important pathological link in the growth and metastasis of tumor.Based on the above three factors,it can be preliminarily shown that"depression,deficiency,and toxin"are the core etiologies and pathogeneses of depression promoting the occurrence and development of tumor.Taking"depression promoting cancer"as a problem-oriented approach,exploring the pathogenesis connotation of depression,deficiency,and toxin,as well as its pathogenic mechanism and effective intervention method can provide new ideas and directions for the prevention and treatment research of depression promoting the occurrence and development of tumor.
