Theoretical Research Progress in the In-plane Uniaxial Tensile Properties of the Directionally Oriented Knitted Fabric
This paper reviews a simplified method for dealing with deformation using the macroscopic structure of the directionally oriented knitted fabric, from which a uniaxial tensile model is established.Accordingly, the tensile strain of single inserting yarn at any angle can be calculated. However, there are errors in the theoretical calculated strain. As a result, the error between the theoretical calculated and actual values of single inserting yarn strain of the directionally oriented knitted fabric under the uniaxial stretching process is calculated, and the"open M-shaped curved surface"of error is obtained theoretically.Based on the law of errors, the error formula is fitted and the correction of the theoretical calculated strain of single inserting yarn is successfully achieved. The correction equation can correct the inserting yarn at any angle in the fabric strain range of 0~50%,which has a larger using range and more accurate results than the theoretical calculated formula for inserting yarn. And the validation is carried out with bias inserting yarn at±30°,±45°,±60° and±75° angles and the results are very good. Therefore, the corrected equation can replace the actual value of bias inserting yarn strain. Therefore,it is of great significance for the development of the directionally oriented knitted fabric.
