Three-dimensional spacer fabric is a new textile material with special structure.This paper describes the knitting process and knitting method of warp and weft spacer fabrics,and summarizes the conventional applications of spacer fabrics as new materials in padding,clothing,vehicles,construction,agriculture,filtration,packaging and so on,focuses on the research status and achievements of 3D spacer fabrics in wearable fields,including smart devices such as sensors,capacitors,generators and textile antennas,which provides reference for the application and development of spacer fabrics in wearable fields.The results shows that three-dimensional spacer fabrics have been widely used in many fields.
