Spinnability and Property Analysis of Polylactic Acid Fiber for Knitting
The purpose of this article is to compare the spinnability of two different PLA slices in the market, and the differences and influencing factors of the spinnability of PLA slices and filaments before and after melt spinning are studied. The micromorphology, tensile properties and orientation of Polylactic acid low elastic filament, and the molecular weight distribution, thermal stability and rheological properties of PLA slices are tested and characterized. The results show that the PLA fiber section prepared from 1# is compact, with higher elongation at break, breaking strength, orientation and crystallinity, and smaller CV value, high stability and suitable for mass production. When the spinning temperature is lower, the spinnability of the 1# slice is better, and the spinnability of the 2# slice is improved by setting at a higher spinning temperature. The thermal stability of 2# slices is weaker than that of l#,and the spinning temperature is greater than 1#,resulting in a much higher degree of thermal decomposition than 1#,which affects the mechanical properties of products.
