Study of the Process of Preparing Reedyl Cellulose Acetate by Transesterification
Reed cellulose was used as raw material, and reedyl cellulose was prepared by transesterification reaction under the conditions of 1,8-diazadicycloundecanocarbon-7-ene(DBU)as catalyst, isopropylene acetate(IPA)or vinyl acetate(VA)as acetylation reagent, and dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO)as solvent. The effects of different experimental conditions on the degree of polymerization and degree of substitution of reedyl cellulose acetate were discussed, which were characterized by polymerization measurement,acid-base titration measurement and infrared spectroscopy analysis. Finally,it was found that the best reed-based cellulose acetate was prepared when IPA was used as acetylation reagent,DMSO as solvent and DBU as catalyst, the reaction time was 4.5 h,and the reaction temperature was 110℃.The degree of polymerization of the prepared reed-based cellulose diacetate can reach 483.63,and the degree of substitution can reach 2.41.
