Effect of Surface Treatment of Tencel Fabric on the Reactive Dye Ink-jet Printing
The surface modification of fabric can reconstruct the surface characteristics of Tencel fabric, which was beneficial to inhibit the spread, diffusion and fixation of ink droplets on the fiber surface. In order to improve the light color and poor clarity of reactive dye ink-jet printing Tencel fabric, sodium alginate(SA)and sodium alpha-olefin sulfonate(AOS)were used to modify Tencel fabric for ink-jet printing. The effects of SA and AOS modification on the apparent color depth, pattern printing clarity, color fastness and mechanical properties of Tencel fabric were analyzed. The results show that compared with sodium alginate modified Tencel fabric, the Tencel fabric modified by sodium alpha-olefin sulfonate exhibites higher color depth, higher pattern clarity, better anti-seepage effect, with no significant change in color fastness to wet friction and breaking strength.
