Mild Hydrophilic and Hydrophobic Finishing of Polyester and Cotton Knitted Double-layered Fabrics
In order to improve skin-friendly feeling and moisture absorption and quick drying ability,it selected double-layered knitted fabric with the inner layer hydrophobic by using 16.67 tex/144 f(150 D/144 f)cross sectioned polyester filament,and the outer layer was a hydrophilic layer by using 14.67 tex pure cotton yam,and the hydrophilic finishing agent permalose TM was used to perform mild hydrophilic finishing on the hydrophobic surface of the fabric,and the hydrophobic finishing agent Nuva N1802 liquid was used to perform mild hydrophobic finishing on the hydrophilic surface.The effects of different concentrations of hydrophilic and hydrophobic finishing agents on the moisture absorption and quick-drying properties of double-layered knitted fabrics were studied.The properties of the fabrics such as breathability,moisture permeability,wicking,drying rate and dynamic moisture transfer were tested.The results show that when the polyester surface is treated with 0.1%hydrophilic finishing agent and the cotton layer is treated with 0.1%hydrophobic finishing agent,the effect of moisture absorption and quick drying is optimal,and the improvement of moisture permeability and wicking increases the skin-friendly feeling of the human body.
