Pad Dyeing Properties of Laser Modified Polyester with Disperse Dyes
In order to develop differentiated polyester dyed fabrics,CO2 laser was used to pretreat and finish fabrics.Taking the K/S value as the index, the effects of pretreatment and finishing parameters on pad dyeing properties of fabrics were studied, and the pretreatment and finishing modification processes were optimized. The surface morphology, thermal stability and crystallinity of the fiber were measured. The effects of laser on the thermal mobility of dyes and the maximum absorption wavelength of dyes were analyzed. The color fastness and breaking strength of dyed fabrics were tested. The results show that the optimized pretreatment and finishing process is power 12 W,speed 150 mm/s and step distance 0.2 mm.The K/S value of laser pretreatment and finishing modified fabrics dyed by dispersed dark green SFN are increased by 44.89%and 38.41%,respectively.The surface of the fiber is etched by laser modification, and the crystallinity decreases.Laser modification has no effect on the thermal stability of the fiber and the maximum absorption wavelength of dyes. After laser finishing, the dye in the fiber is thermally transferred. The fastness of the fabric before and after modification is basically unchanged, all reaching grade 4 or above, but the breaking strength decreases slightly.
