Study of the Resistance to Washing and Bacteria of Reusable Medical Protective Clothing Fabric
The changes on the protective, comfort and mechanical performance of reusable medical protective clothing fabrics before and after sterilization are studied. The main factors affecting the washing, disinfection, and sterilization performance of reusable medical protective clothing fabrics are revealed. The results show that the filtration efficiency of medical protective fabrics before and after repeated washing and sterilization is above 97.0%,and the anti-synthetic blood penetration is above level 6.After repeated washing and sterilization treatment, the breaking strength of the protective fabric decreases, and the tearing strength significantly decreases, and the air permeability, wear resistance and surface charge density do not change significantly. The hydrostatic pressure of the protective fabric declines. The surface fabric is thin or the polytetrafluoroethylene film is thin, leading to a decline in hydrostatic pressure, the moisture permeability of protective fabrics decreases, and the thickness of polytetrafluoroethylene film is the main factor affecting the change in moisture permeability. As the thickness increases, the decrease in moisture permeability reduces.
