Curcumin Low Temperature Ecological Dyeing of Wool-like Microfiber Fabrics
The natural dye turmeric was used to dye wool-like microfiber fabric at low temperature with cinnamic acid as the carrier. The influence of cinnamic acid carrier dosage, dyeing temperature, dyeing time and pH value on dyeing effect was optimized. The dyed fabric was observed by scanning electron microscope, electron microscope,IR spectrum, antibacterial and ultraviolet resistance and dyeing fastness. The results show that the low temperature dyeing process of turmeric for wool-like microfiber fabric is as follows:the bath ratio is 1:50,the dosage of cinnamic acid is 6 g/L,the pH is 4.0,the temperature is 90℃and the time is 90 minutes. The visible absorption wavelength of turmeric extract is 430 nm.The results of scanning electron microscope and microscope show that the surface of dyed polyester fiber is smooth, the dyed fiber has a good dyeing effect in the longitudinal direction and cross section, and the curcumin goes deep into the interior of polyester fiber. The infrared spectrum analysis shows that the curcumin hydroxyl group absorption peak is more obvious in the polyester fiber structure. The dyed fabric has good UV resistance and no obvious antibacterial properties with dry friction color fastness of level 4~5,wet friction color fastness of level 4 and good soap-resistant color fastness as well.
