Application of Urea-free Printing of Cotton Fabric with Diazo Reactive Orange Dyes
Three diazo reactive orange dyes(YDY-1-YDY-3)with 2,4-diaminobenzenesulfonic acid as coupling component were used in the printing of cotton fabric. The effects of printing conditions on the color depth, and color fastness of cotton fabrics printed with these dyes were investigated. The results show that the reactive dyes possess wide process compatibility. The relative humidity can be as low as 55%,the steaming time is 2~3 minutes and the alkali dosage can be as low as 1.0%in the printing.Compared with 5.0%dosage of urea, the increment of relative color depth of cotton fabrics printed with Reactive dyes YDY-1-YDY-3 is 4.8%,7.2%and 1.3%,respectively,when the urea is not applied. The fixation of the reactive dyes YDY-1-YDY-3 is 71.1%,74.3%and 77.2%,respectively.The color fastness to color change and staining of the three reactive dyes can reach grade 4~5.The dry-wet rubbing fastness can reach grade 4~5 and grade 4,respectively.The light fastness is more than grade 3.
