Application of Catalyst in the Cold Pad-batch Pretreatment of Cotton Knitted Fabrics
Due to the problems of unstable whiteness and big strength damage of cotton fabrics in the traditional cold pad-batch,this paper explored the application of catalyst in the cold pad-batch process of cotton knitted fabrics. The effects of refining agent, catalyst, dispersant, stabilizer, soda ash and hydrogen peroxide dosage on the whiteness, capillary effect and bursting strength of cotton knitted fabrics were investigated through single factor experiment, and the process was optimized. The optimized process at room temperature is as follows:sodium hydroxide 15 g/L,hydrogen peroxide(100%)20 g/L,refining agent CML 10 g/L,catalyst GFF 5 g/L,dispersant PF71 2 g/L and stabilizer KKV-C 10 g/L.The whiteness of the treated fabrics is 72.20,the capillary effect is 15.5 cm,and the bursting strength is 837 N.Adding appropriate amount of catalyst GFF in the treatment solution can improve the bursting strength of the fabric.Compared with the traditional cold pad-batch process, this process can improve the whiteness, capillary effect and bursting strength.
