A study of the relationship between the number of academic papers published by university teachers and the quality of their classroom teaching
A multiple regression model is used to analyze the relationship between the number of academic papers published by university teachers and the quality of classroom teaching, with students'evaluation scores as the dependent variable and the number of published academic papers and research performance as independent variables, and professional titles and degrees as control variables. The results indicate a significant correlation between the two, suggesting that publishing academic papers contributes to the improvement of classroom teaching quality. Therefore,in order to comprehensively improve the quality of classroom teaching, administrators should do the following:encourage teachers to focus on educational highlights and challenges, and write high-quality research papers;get rid of the"paper-centric"mindset,and explore new ways for improving teaching quality through academic papers;coordinate teaching and research activities, and bolster support for teaching and research;pay attention to the training of newly-recruited Ph.D.graduates in professional and ideological education, and foster the concept of teaching quality early;promote the spirit of educators, and keep writing tirelessly.
