Lantian LU Family was a famous family in Guanzhong,which had a certain impact on politics,economy and cul-ture in the middle and late Northern Song Dynasty.The excavation of the family cemetery shocked the archaeological community and was rated as one of the top ten archaeological discoveries in 2010.Twenty-eight epitaphs and several inscriptions were un-earthed in the cemetery,which were not found in the handed down documents.They were lost in The Text of the Whole Song Dy-nasty.These epitaphs reflect the first-hand information of the Lantian LU Family and related figures in terms of official,mar-riage,friendship and literature and are beneficial to the study of the social history of the Song Dynasty.
