The wide spread of Yangming's thoughts such as"four levels of people"and"equality between sages and com-moners"in Southern Fujian,and many Yangming's followers being officials and lecturers in Fujian during the reign of Jiajing and Longqing in the Ming Dynasty provided the social atmosphere,top-level design and governance foundation for the promo-tion of"opening in the reign of Longqing"of Yuegang Harbor.It can be said that Yangming Studies is an important element to promote the"opening in the reign of Longqing"of Yuegang Harbor.
