The Palace Official System and Literati Group of Neo-Confucianism in Jian Zhou of the Southern Song Dynasty
The palace official system was unique to the Song Dynasty.The palace official system in the Southern Song Dynasty was not only a tool for anti-Daoism,but also provided institutional guarantee for the development of Neo-Confucianism,which had an im-portant impact on the academic thought and literary creation of Neo-Confucianism at that time.Most scholars in the Southern Song Dy-nasty had the experience of leading palace officials to live in their hometown,which undoubtedly promoted the development of regional literature.The palace official system provided the opportunity and condition for the convergence of literati in Jian Zhou,and promoted the formation,development and continuation of Neo-Confucianism literati group in Jian Zhou in Southern Song Dynasty.Chongyou Temple was the only temple with a palace official in Jianzhou area.Wu Yi Mountain,a famous Taoist mountain,was the transfer station for the southward movement of Neo-Confucianism and the base camp for the birth,development and maturity of Zhu Zi Neo-Confucian-ism.In the last 17 years of his life,Liu Zihui attended temple five times and lived idle in Chong An,Jian Zhou.Reading and writing,and lecturing were two of his most important daily spiritual activities.Zhu Xi led the palace official for a long time in his life,totaling more than 20 years.The palace official system provided economic support and time guarantee for Zhu Xi's outstanding position in Neo-Confucianism and literary creation achievements.The Wu Yi Jing House built and written by Zhu Xi during his temple period can be regarded as an important realistic space and spiritual holy place where the two were related.At the end of the Southern Song Dynasty,Zhen Dexiu back hometown continued the tradition in Jianzhou region.
