Haiziping is a natural reserve to mainly conserve, the largest exclusive natural bamboo forest of Phyllostachys heteracycla var, pubescens that has not been disturbed by humanbeings in China. Through analyzing and summarizing the situation of natural bamboo forest in the reserve,it showed that there are five kinds of values to conserve the natural bamboo forest. It is propitious to conserve natural forest for Phyllostachys heteracycla var. pubescens ,to improve descendiblity in plant communities of Phyllostachys heteracycla var. pubescens, to study the genetic diversities of plant community in natural forest of Phyllostachys heteracycla var. pubescens,to lead a road for the ecological restoration of planted bamboo forest and to explore the other unknown things in the field of bamboo research.
