Study on the Asexual Propagation Techniques of Indocalamus latifolius
[Objective]To explore the effects of asexual propagation with mother bamboo and rhizome seedling on the quantity and quality of Indocalamus latifolius,as well as the effective asexual breeding techniques for I.latifolius to provide high-quality seedlings for the promotion and application of I.latifolius.[Method]Transplantation of mother bamboos and rhizomes of I.latifolius was the research object, and the survival rate, the number of new bamboos and the base diameter were compared and analyzed with different number of mother branches of different nodes(1,2,3,4,natural plant)and different lengths of rhizome segments(30,40,50 cm).[Result]With the increase of the number of branches left, the survival rate of the transplanted mother bamboo gradually decreased, the survival rate of 3-node branches was 87.4%,and the survival rate of 4-node branches was 83%,which was the critical point of technical standard for afforestation. However, the number and base diameter of new bamboos gradually increased, the number of new bamboos with 3-4 nodes was more than 2.5,and the base diameter of new bamboos was more than 0.87 cm.There were no significant changes in the number and base diameter of new bamboos grown from rhizome segments of 30-50 cm,and the survival rate of bamboos grown from rhizome segments of 40 and 50 cm was significantly higher than that of 30 cm.[Conclusion]Asexual breeding of I.latifolius with mother bamboo of 3-4 nodes and 40-50 cm rhizome segments can achieve better seedling cultivation effect.
