Based on literature survey and specimen examination,this paper reviews the briefhistory of taxonomic study on Bambusoideae in Guizhou.The bamboo collection history and taxonomic literature about bamboos from Guizhou are summarized from the 1940s to the beginning of the 21 st century,and the taxonomic history of bamboos in Guizhou was divided into three phases in chronological order.Last,a summary and outlook have been made on the problems,development directions,and urgent research topics in the taxonomy of bamboos in Guizhou.
