Norwegian aluminium producer Norsk Hydro has announced the appointment of its Execuive Vice President Kjetil Ebbesberg the chair of the European Aluminium for 2017-2018. Ebbesberg is head of Hydro's Rolled Products business area. Ebbsberg, who has been the vice-chair of the European industry group since 2015, has been succeeded by Roberta Niboli, CEO of the Italian company Raffmetal for the 2017-18 term. The new appointments were announced at the European Aluminium's General Assembly held on October 26 in Antwerp, Belgium. Ebbsberg's association with Hydro dates back to 1996. He has worked as the company's chief financial officer for Metal Products, head of the Foundry Alloys unit and executive vice president of Metal Markets.
