Dear Readers, After six years, we are pleased to present the third special issue on the Carbon2Chem~R joint research project. Once again, the project has made enormous progress over the past two years. The current environment, marked by the war in Ukraine and extreme climate-related events, is an additional driving force for the consortium. What was once conviction is now certainty: Carbon2Chem~R represents a key building block for climate protection and for safeguarding a sustainable supply of raw materials.
