Meanwhile, the company is believed to be holding talks with Usinor, the French steel major, for a technology and market development tie-up. It is also looking at the possibility of expanding its production base. The French outfit, which has a capacity of two million tonnes, is expected to help Tinplate in terms of product development. Presentations have already been made and a strategic partnership seems to be in the offing. "We are trying to work out a technical collaboration, which will enable us to add value to our existing production profile," Raina said.
