With the advent of more intense ironmaking processes,like smelting-reduction, gas evolution in the slag may reachunprecedented levels. To study the fluid mechanics, gases wereinjected into a variety of room temperature liquids at high superficialvelocity (0.2 to 4.0 m/s).
