French aluminium prod ricer Pechiney has acquired Alufin CmbH Tabularoxid, a German producer of tabular alumina. Alufin has a production capacity of 18,000 tpy of tabular alumina, which is mainly used in high performance refractories. The comany's plant, situated near Leipzig in Germany employs over 40 people.
